Sheriff William C. Price
Hello! My name is Sheriff William Price,
I was born in Early County to the late Bobbie Lee Price and the late Jeff Robinson. I’m one of thirteen children. I graduated from Early County High School in the year of 1987.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Mrs. Valerie Williams Price for the past 27 years. I am the proud father of three children, Trenton Price, Trevor Price and Brittany Broner. I’m also a wonderful grandfather to two, Tylan and Taylor Price.
I have been in law enforcement for twenty two years. I begin my career as a dispatcher at the Early County Sheriff’s Department. In 1991 I attended the police academy to become a certified peace officer. During my years with the department I worked very hard and received many promotions, one being Early County Sheriff’s Departments first African American Captain.
In 2009 I was given the opportunity to attend chief school: upon completion I made history by being appointed Chief of Police in two cities, Edison and Leary Georgia, at the same time.
On November 6, 2012 with the help of God and the great citizens of Early County, I received my latest and greatest accomplishment of being elected as the first African American Sheriff of Early County.
